Eligibility

EOSA accepts medical students from Türkiye who meet all of the following:

• Currently enrolled at a medical school holding ECFMG accreditation.
• In your 3rd or 4th year of medical school for the upcoming academic year.
• Demonstrated English proficiency.
• Not yet graduated from medical school.

Required Documents

Submit all three as PDF files:

1. Official English proficiency exam score. Accepted: TOEFL, IELTS, OET, CEFR, or Duolingo. Not accepted: YÖKDİL or other multiple-choice-only tests.
2. Motivation letter in English.
3. Most recent medical school transcript in English.

Application Process

1. Submit — email all three PDF documents to eosasocial@gmail.com. Only fully completed applications are evaluated.
2. Assessment — the Membership Committee reviews each application during the assessment window.
3. Interview — selected applicants are invited to a short Zoom interview, conducted in English.
4. Onboarding — accepted candidates receive an agreement letter to sign and are paired with a mentor.

Most Recent Application Cycle

The 2025–2026 cycle ran on the following timeline:

• Applications opened: June 1, 2025
• Applications closed: July 13, 2025
• Assessment period: July 14 – August 13, 2025
• Interviews: July and August 2025
• Final decisions announced: September 25, 2025
