Is there a fee to join EOSA?+

EOSA does not charge any fees from its members. The academy is run as a charity of knowledge — there are no membership dues.

Can medical school graduates apply for EOSA?+

EOSA accepts medical students who have not yet graduated. We do not currently accept applications from physicians who have already finished medical school.

What grade do I have to be in to be included in EOSA?+

Applications are open to medical students from all years of study. We welcome applicants from MS-1 through MS-6.

What are the questions asked in EOSA interviews?+

Interview questions cover your motivation for joining, your interests in medicine, and your willingness to mentor others. There are no trick questions — we want to understand who you are and what you'd contribute.

I sent the necessary documents for the application to EOSA e-mail address. How will the next process work?+

After we receive your application e-mail, the control of your documents and the evaluation of the application are started by our committee. The evaluation is completed within the application dates shared on our website. If you are selected for the next step, you will be invited to an interview.

When can I learn the results after the interview is completed?+

After your interview, a general evaluation is made by our committee. Evaluation results will be sent to your e-mail address — the one you used for the application — between the dates specified on our website.

Is EOSA obligated to offer research opportunities to its members?+

No, EOSA is not obligated. However, the academy can either help students access research opportunities through dedicated mentors, to a limited extent, or provide guidance on how members can find these opportunities themselves.

Does EOSA guarantee internships for its members and assist them in relocating to America?+

No, EOSA does not guarantee internships or assistance in relocating. Instead, it offers guidance and networking opportunities for members to find internships through its network of voluntary mentors, primarily in the United States.
