Dr. Akgul gave his presentation and tips for writing a personal statement for our desired residency program applications. First, he informed us about the major components of a good match applicant, including the personal statement. Then we also learned about storytelling, components of a personal statement, ideal length and best fonts to use. After the lecture, we were inspired to view our journey as a story that we write for ourselves everyday. Thanks Dr. Akgul !
