BYLAWS OF THE COMMUNICATION COMMITTEE
Name of Committee
The name of the committee is the Communication Committee
Purpose
The duty of the EOSA Communication Committee is to plan and design all kinds of social media accounts, websites owned by EOSA, and all kinds of content used in our promotion; to regulate them in order to comply with the ethical framework of EOSA and to ensure that this whole system works on time. At the end of each period, the Communication Committee makes an annual evaluation based on its visibility on social media, website visit rates, andnew follower/interaction numbers.
It updates and improves the EOSA website. It updates the EOSA website by uploading the events, general meetings, and lectures to the website. It enables the members to use excuse forms, permission forms, and similar forms over the Internet.
Membership and Head of Committee
Section I. Membership
Membership in the Membership Committee is open to every EOSA member. Members are assigned by the Senate, which makes its decision by considering members’ preferences.
Section II. Head of Committee
The Head of the Committee is chosen by a relative majority in an election open to all EOSA members. The Head of the Committee shall hold its position for a term of two years. Any EOSA member may be a candidate in its election.
When The Head of the Committee decides to leave the Head of the Committee position, she/he shall continue to be the Head of the Committee for 1 more month for a replacement to be elected.
Powers
The Communication Committee operates under the framework and rules described hereinafter.
Section I. Assignment of Tasks to its Members
Each task assignment should include the name of the person to whom the task is assigned, the task itself, and its assignment and due date.
When assigning tasks to members, it is the responsibility of the president or vice president to specify the date of assignment and completion date. Volunteering is supported. Tasks should not be performed until the president or vice president specifies the deadline for the task for the objective functioning of the rules. The member is expected to comply with specific descriptions of the duties as well.
The cancellation of the task due to physical health, mental health, or special circumstances is expected to be made 2 days before the specified deadline at the latest. No explanation is expected from the members regarding mental health.
In case of the cancellation of a task, that task is transferred to another member, but in the following period, the canceling member takes over the task of the member who took over the task, aiming to maintain balance.
If the task is not completed without requesting cancellation or the deadline is not met, the member’s situation is evaluated by the discipline.
Section II. Content Preparation Rules
If there is more than one mentor or mentee in the content, each should be included with images of the same size, so that one does not block the other. The images added in addition to the photographs should not cover people’s faces.
There should not be any religious or political content.
The prepared articles should be clean and simply understandable. It should not harm any group of people.
Words that encourage addiction should not be used.
Section III. Rules of Meeting
Although attendance at meetings is not mandatory, participation is highly recommended.Members from outside EOSA cannot attend meetings.
During meetings, members are expected to behave respectfully and helpfully towards each other. Everyone has the right to express a difference. Constructive criticism is very important for a committee environment where members support each other.
In case of behavior that disrupts the peace of other members and/or is disrespectful, it will be reported to the Disciplinary Committee.
Amendment of Bylaws
When deemed necessary, these bylaws may be subject to modification only by the Head of Discipline Committee upon approval of the Senate.
