BYLAWS OF THE QUALITY COMMITTEE
Purpose and Scope
The Quality Control (QC) Committee aims for improvement through feedback from the EOSA members.
Membership and Head of Committee
Section I. Membership
Membership in the QC Committee is open to every EOSA member. Members are assigned by the Senate, which makes its decision by considering members’ preferences.
Section II. Head of Committee
The Head of the Committee is chosen by a relative majority in an election open to all EOSA members. The Head of the Committee shall hold its position for a term of two years. Any EOSA member may be a candidate in its election.
Powers
The Operation team collects information via forms. All data entered into the forms is saved and stored. The relevant data are transformed into a graph format. The graph should be ready for upload to the website and follow a standard format. The required graphs have been shared with the Operation team. If an Operation team member exceeds the mentioned date to create the graph presented at the general meeting, it is reported to the Discipline Committee.
The QC Committee regularly collects data from the EOSA members about the activities by conducting feedback surveys after the EOSA lectures and English–speaking practices held within EOSA, then analyzes this data and presents it to the Senate. The QC Committee takes yearly feedback from EOSA members at the end of the academic year. The Operations Committee uses this data for organizing the new academic year’s calendar.
B) Quality Projects
Quality projects aim to increase the efficiency and participation of all members in the EOSA. These projects are planned in line with the analysis of the feedback data collected from the members. The committee is responsible for developing and supervising two quality control projects each year.
C) Research Coordination
The QC committee is responsible for the distribution of tasks among the members of the research projects carried out within EOSA, monitoring the progress of the project, and ensuring the successful conclusion of the project.
D) NBME Exams Conduction and Analysis
A specific group within the QC committee is responsible for the following actions:
– Deciding the NBME exam’s date and being in touch with the Operations Committee.
– Presenting exam results, preparing answer forms, and tracking exam time.
– Data from questions topic along with true/false distributions are also analyzed by this group and they present it in general meetings.
Amendment of Bylaws
When deemed necessary, these bylaws may be subject to modification only by the Head of Discipline Committee upon approval of the Senate.
