BYLAWS OF THE MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
Name of Committee
The name of the committee is the Membership Committee.
Purpose
The responsibilities of the EOSA Membership Committee include the execution of EOSA mail, admission of new members, collection of members’ information and confirmation letters, and the execution of the orientation program. The Membership Committee is responsible for implementing and coordinating member admission/removal to/within EOSA.
Membership and Head of Committee
Section I. Membership
Membership in the Membership Committee is open to every EOSA member. Members are assigned by the Senate, which makes its decision by considering members’ preferences.
Section II. Head of Committee
The Head of the Committee is chosen by a relative majority in an election open to all EOSA members. The Head of the Committee shall hold its position for a term of two years. Any EOSA member may be a candidate in its election.
Powers
The operational responsibilities of the Membership Committee members are outlined as follows.
After forms are created on platforms like Google Forms, they are shared in the announcement communication channel with a specified deadline. A minimum of 8 days is left until the deadline, and failure to meet the deadline is reported to the Disciplinary Committee. Forms are then uploaded to the relevant category on the Notion page dedicated to Membership.
After a suitable date is determined, a meeting is scheduled where each committee will make introductory presentations. During this session, new members are briefed on the committees and their operations.
Buddies selected from EOSA members are appointed by the membership team and matched with new members. Following this pairing, efforts are made to answer any questions and provide assistance to facilitate the smooth adaptation of new members.
All documents containing member information are permanently erased. Any affiliation with EOSA is terminated on all platforms (WhatsApp groups, Telegram, website, etc.).
Amendment of Bylaws
When deemed necessary, these bylaws may be subject to modification only by the Head of theCommittee upon approval of the Senate.
